Every page starts with the space — door width, ceiling height, floor type, whether you can drill — before it gets to brands, because for a renter the space decides the purchase.

It is written for one reader: the person constrained by a lease, a low ceiling or a small floor, who wants gear that works in that space, comes down without a trace, and is cheap but durable. Not the spec-sheet collector with a 600 sq ft garage. Who writes it

Mike M. is the hands-on owner behind Iron Mako Media. He writes Rope & Rep for people training in apartments, rentals and one-car garages — where ceiling height, door frames and a lease decide what gear is worth buying.

That is the whole bio, and it is deliberately short. Mike M. is not a certified coach, does not run a lab, and has not tested the products on this site in a warehouse full of gear he was given. What we don't do
