How this site makes money
Affiliate links, disclosed on every button. Here is exactly how they work and what they do — and don't — change.
As an Amazon Associate, Iron Mako Media earns from qualifying purchases. Rope & Rep is reader-supported: when you click a product button or link on this site and buy something, the retailer may pay us a small commission. This is the site's only income. It does not change the price you pay.
How the links work
Every product link on the site points to our own resolver at /go/<product>. That link redirects you to the retailer — Amazon, at launch — with a tracking tag attached so the retailer knows the visit came from us. We route links this way so the destination can be changed centrally (if a brand's own store becomes the better place to buy, for example) without rewriting every page. The resolver is not indexed by search engines and every earning link is marked with rel="sponsored" and a visible “#ad · disclosure” label.

Other brands mentioned on the site (Rogue Fitness, REP Fitness, Titan Fitness, Crossrope, Elite Jumps, Kettlebell Kings, Bowflex, Yes4All, BaseBlocks, Hyperwear, Torque Fitness, GORNATION) are linked as plain, untracked links where they appear — we have not joined an affiliate program with them and earn nothing from those links. If that changes, this page will be updated and the links will carry the same disclosure.
Prices
We do not print prices. Prices belong to the retailer and change; every button opens the live price on the retailer's page. When a live price feed is connected, prices appear inside the buttons with the date they were checked and disappear automatically after 48 hours if not refreshed. A price you see on this site is never a promise — the retailer's page is the only source of truth.
What commissions don't change
- Rankings. Picks are chosen and scored before any link is built. Commission rate is not a ranking input.
- Which retailer gets the button. Buyer-first: if another merchant is clearly better for you on price, stock or warranty, the page says so.
- What we say about a product. Cons and “skip this if” notes appear on every pick.
What we don't accept
Sponsored placements, paid reviews, free products, or pre-publication review by a brand. See the editorial policy and methodology.
